They have all sorts of arcade-type normally coin-op video games as well as unique simulators. The Pirates of the Carribean game was a great experience that all four in our group could participate in.
They've got stuff for all ages; a great place to go if the weather is bad one day of your vacation. A great time, but plan on spending a few hours there in order to get your money's worth. Not as bad as people say. We enjoyed ourselves - age I am 34 and enjoy computer games have an X Box. My wife came with me and wasn't too keen. We went on a rainy day.
We don't have any children. Despite my wife's protest about going, we spent 6 hours there and she admitted that she enjoyed herself! There was one area which was aimed at children around the animation area , but the majority of it had enough for us oldies to do.
There are a number of large attractions such as: - Ride the Comics lightsabre game. It sounds much better than it is. Don't bother. Great fun! We went on it twice - Virtual Jungle Cruise — Hop on a moving blow up raft and get slightly wet. Quite energetic. Managed to finish the course the second time.
This is fun, but not as good as the Pirates -Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters shoot canon balls at bumper cars. Two players required in each car. Very difficult to aim the canon. Not that much fun -Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam you play in a giant pinball. Difficult to steer. I could have done without the rest. We spent a lot of time on the arcade machines as well. There were a number of driving, shooting and classic arcade games. You get free play on everything, so eventually you will find a game you really enjoy playing.
Plan DisneyQuest on a rainy day. Melinda Union City, TN contributions. We were staying in Orlando the last week of June and decided to go into Disneyworld for one day. We didn't have theme park tickets so we went to Downtown Disney. This is where we came upon DisneyQuest.
We debated on going in because it was so expensive, but it was clouding up and we figured where better to spend a rainy day than indoors at Disney. It was horrible! Basically a multilevel building with video arcade games and a few interactive games they really build these up at entrance-how wonderful they are. However, the lines for the interactive games were close to an hour wait and they were really cheezy.
But the real issue that made me fume was the disrespect everyone gave to one another. I waited in line right behind a grown woman playing a video game and she turned around and looked at me SEVERAL times and then kept pushing the button to replay. I also had a child replay a game at least 3 or 4 times with me waiting behind him.
Then he got off, I got on and he came back and said "I wasn't finished, you need to get off! Me and my husband and son all agreed this was the biggest rip-off of a place and got out of there. Paying that much money to stand there and watch a stranger keep replaying video games is torcher.
My 10 yr old even hated it and he is a video game junkie! Not reccommended! We LOVE this place! Tips for you We have been going to this place for 8 years and I can give you tips and tricks to it. I also asked the Cast Member which days were best, and he said Monday-Thursday.
We did it on a Thursday and also on a Friday yesterday. We were there during Value Season but we have also done this at a high peak season as well. If you get there when it opens, head to the Pirate Cruise on floor 1 because that one will have the longest line next to the design your own coaster ride.
The pirate cruise is super fun and you have one person who is the captain of the ship and everyone else gets to be "gunners. Head to the design your own roller coaster after that if you got there early as that is also a longer line usually.
If you want a fun coaster that does go up and down, then you need to build a level 5. If you are claustrophobic like me, you will be fine as it is pretty open inside of the little pod thing they put you in. Unlike the Sum of all Fears at Epcot which has a nauseating thing that goes over your head My kids started at this place when they were 4 and 6.
They are now 12 and I find that they are doing different things there now than when they were littler. I myself always love the Buzz Lightyear cannon blaster, and all the old-school video games. I was pleasantly surprised to see many new video arcade systems.
Yes they have retro old ones, but they definitely do keep up with the times and add some new games in there. Our favorite this year ended up being the Nascar Racing one where we all could race against 6 other people. It had 10 cars We got to ride this unlimited because there were such light crowds there.
We loved it! Seriously try the pizza from the counter service. I was about shocked yesterday thinking it was the usually gross pizza they serve throughout the counter services in the Disney Parks.
For some reason, they finally got it right with a better sauce. I also loved the new grilled chicken sandwich with ranch sauce on it. Shocking because I find almost all the counter service places in the park serving up disgusting food at best. Except for the fries and usually the chicken strips. But how much fried food do you really want to eat?
I bring bottles of water and whatnot so we have it while waiting for the buses to and from the place. Definitely try to explore every room in this place as you may overlook an entire area that you just love.
We found one room yesterday we never saw the day before and it was fun. We spend the whole day there and the day flies by. Adventurer 37 contributions. At "Magic Mirrors", once located on the second floor in the Create Zone, guests could take a picture of themselves and then edit their faces to appear like cartoons.
The attraction closed in and has since been converted to seating. The object of the game was to collect lightning bolts and defeat Hades. Classic arcade games such as Pac-Man, Ms. Capcom 2 , and the arcade edition of Soulcalibur. Also Skeeball , "shoot-the-hoops", air hockey , and other games of skill. On August 16, , Disney announced that the attraction would remain permanently closed, but that its partnerships with NBA would otherwise be unaffected. Disney Wiki Explore.
